What type of plane is used on the air tour?

Your ride is in a comfortable Cessna plane, which provides stereo headsets for quiet conversation.

Can I talk with the other people in my party?

Yes! We provide individual headphones for noise reduction and direct interpretive information from your pilot. Our planes are high-wing Cessnas, so everyone gets a window seat, and a fantastic view of the area.

How many people fit in the plane?

We can take up to 6 people per airplane, and groups as large as 50 with sufficient notice.

Does the pilot explain what we're seeing?

Our pilots are specially trained and experienced in canyon flying, and extremely knowledgeable about the area. Before the flight you will spend time with them studying a relief map. This way you won’t miss anything while up in the air.

Is it safe?

We are a certified FAA Air Carrier. All of our pilots are FAA approved. We have safely flown passengers since 1978.

May I bring a camera?

Absolutely! Canyonlands by Night & Day’s scenic air tour is great for pictures.

Is there a cancelation policy?

Yes. You must cancel 48 hours prior to departure to receive a partial refund; otherwise it is non-refundable.
