Frequently Asked Questions
Click the question to disclose the answer.
Are the boats covered?
The daytime jet boat has a windshield and a canopy; the sides are open for better viewing of the stunning scenery. The boat used during the Sound and Light Show is open to ensure you can see high up the canyon walls, but the sun is usually already behind the horizon by the time we depart.
How rough is the tour? Will I get wet?
The section of the Colorado River you will travel is calm, so you won’t need to worry about any rapids. The boats glide across the river and we don’t swing the boat around to get you wet. You may get a little bit of spray once the boat is up on plane, but it feels amazing in our hot weather!
How many people fit in the boats?
We have two boats available for the daytime jet boat tour: one can hold 20 and the other can hold 40. The Moab Queen II, which is used for the Sound and Light Show, can hold 144 people.
What if I get thirsty during the tours?
Drinks and snacks are included complimentary on the daytime jet boat tour, and most people ask us to roll them onto the boat after the delicious Cowboy-style Dutch Oven dinner for the Sound and Light Show! We will make sure you don’t go away hungry!
May I bring a camera?
Absolutely! The tours are ideal for aspiring and professional photographers. We do ask, however, that you turn off your flash for the Sound and Light Show, so you don’t night blind other guests.
Is there a cancelation policy?
Yes. You must cancel 48 hours prior to departure to receive a partial refund; otherwise the tour fee is non-refundable.
